Woods announced Tuesday that he will next play at the Genesis Open at Riviera in February. The tournament will take place between February 13 and 17 at Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif., and it's a full-field PGA Tour event. Though he showed moments of his old self with a tournament-high 24 birdies, Woods struggled down the stretch.

"This is where it all started for me".

Woods, the greatest player of his generation and arguably of all time, made his PGA Tour debut at Riviera at the age of 16. Perhaps that will inspire him to win his first PGA Tour event since 2013?

Following a fairly successful return to golf this month, Tiger Woods has committed to feature in the 2017 Genesis Open.

Of course, this may not be the next time we see Woods compete. Many expect him to play in the Farmers Insurance Open Jan. 26-29 at Torrey Pines, where he's won eight times, including the 2008 U.S. Open. If he did, that would mean four straight weeks of competition. Day hopes the two have an epic showdown or two while they still can.

As for Day, he'll ease back into competitive golf.

Woods, who returned to golf earlier this month at the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas after a 15-month injury layoff, said he was looking forward to the Feb 16-19 event at the Riviera Country Club in the affluent suburb of Pacific Palisades.
