As Ghosts, you'll have access to two provinces, Itacua and Montuyoc, two vastly different landscapes where up to four players can run amok in the effort to dismantle the Cartel, one operation at a time.

The highly anticipated open beta for "Ghost Recon: Wildlands" went live yesterday, February 23.

More than half of the closed beta players played in co-op, and Ubisoft has added a host of fixes to improve it in the open beta. Together with Shane Salerno ('Avatar"), the writer is in charge of writing the stories and dialogues of several of the characters that we will see in "Ghost Recon Wildlands'.

Participating in the beta has a lot of perks.

Along with "Ghost Recon: Wildlands'" 21 regions overall, there will also be 11 biomes in the game. Rack up on and then head over to the Ubisoft Club page to check out which rewards you can redeem for use outside the game, inside the Open Beta, or upon full release. The massive and responsive open world encourages a variety of playstyles allowing players the freedom to choose how they execute any and all missions. And if you want to learn more about your target and the Santa Blanca, you'll be able to find 12 new Kingslayer Files filled with fascinating dirt on your enemies.

"Ghost Recon Wildlands" Open Beta started today, Feb. 23, at 3:00 p.m. OT or 6:00 a.m. ET, and the event will end on Monday, Feb. 27. Aside from the ultimate experience of playing the game before it launches, a Unidad Conspiracy reward can also be acquired.

GRW will include a wide range of terrains such as mountains, forests, deserts and salt flats and will be available on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One from March 7 - the same week the Nintendo Switch console launches.
