Kate Upton lands Sports Illustrated swimsuit cover

Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2017 Release Date Announced

The third time's definitely a charm for Kate Upton, who, in her third year of covering the sexy mag has not one, but three covers to boast about!

In a first for the publication, Christie poses with her daughters Sailor Brinkley Cook, 18, and Alexa Ray Joel, 31, and admitted that the shoot was a huge moment for her and her girls. They include Serena Williams, Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles, Olympic gymnast Ali Raisman, and Canadian tennis player Genie Bouchard. And there are five mothers (one expecting!) in the magazine, including 32-year-old rookie Bianca Balti, a mom of two.

In an interview with the publication, Upton said it was the decision to open up the magazine to women of all body types and all ages that made her "proud" to return to the cover. In a video, she describes her shoot as "high-end Vogue vibes", and adds, "Getting on the cover of Sports Illustrated has completely changed my life".

Famed US fashion photographer Yu Tsai (America's Next Top Model) was the photographer on site, and talked about Kate's transformation from her very first SI shoot in 2011. After all, the concept of "looking huge" is something many of us are programmed to physically recoil away from in utter disgust.

"We didn't start off with the idea of three covers, regardless of who was on the cover", Day said. I'm enjoying having fun with it and taking chances! Maybe you model resilience.

The Danish beauty is hailed as one of the world's most striking models and she doesn't disappoint, hitting the beach with some carefully placed metallic pasties and nothing else! Kate makes sure to watch her diet carefully too and keeps the humor in her watchfulness.
