Moto G5 photographed in the wild ahead of announcement

New leaked photos give us an up-close look at the Moto G5

Blass took to Twitter to share an image of the Verizon variant of the upcoming Moto G5 Plus.

Looking at the alleged render, the design appears to be in line with the recently leaked photos of the Moto G5 smartphone. If this turns out to be true then both the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus should be available on Verizon. We can also believe now the rumors about a 5 inches screen.

As the moniker itself suggests, the Moto G5 Plus is the successor to the moderately popular Moto G4 Plus. The RAM and built-in storage capacity stand at 2GB and 64GB respectively. On the front of the phone we can notice a fingerprint scanner, a functionality that was used before only on the premium model G4 Plus.

Last but not least, the latest Android Nougat 7.0 with plain vanilla OS is expected to provide some level of comfort to users. The product generated quite a bit of hype on Reddit, so we expect this Indiegogo campaign to be successfully funded.

Leaning back into that retailer leak from earlier in the month, the Moto G5 will allegedly feature a 5-inch 1080p HD display, with an octa-core Snapdragon 430 processor under the hood.

Word around the water cooler is that the device will flaunt a 12MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera, as well as a 3,000 mAh battery with TurboPower charging.

Therefore, a device with such specifications at such a low budget price should be kept an eye on in the coming few weeks, especially for those who are looking to upgrade from an older Moto G, the Moto G4 seems to be a great upgrade. A removable battery works far better than a non-removable battery as you can always swap a fully charged spare battery when your current one starts to run low on juice, allowing you to continue with your previous tasks or carry out conversations without missing a beat - and neither do you need to tote around a power bank. In India, the smartphone is said to make its release in March, soon after MWC 2017, and it is speculated to be priced slightly lesser at $230, Rs 15,600 approximately.
