Demi Lovato beats James Corden in the ultimate diva riff-off

Watch Demi Lovato Bury James Corden in a Divas Then, Divas Now Riff-Off

Talking about his favorite tunes, the Late Late Show host claimed that "divas back then are just fiercer" than the singing starlets of today.

"They don't make them like that anymore, do they?" he proposed.

(Oh, oh, oh!) Demi Lovato stood up for modern-day divas everywhere on Wednesday night, making an appearance on The Late Late Show to challenge host, James Corden, to a diva riff-off.

Watch the full diva-off above. (They were backed by a cappella, naturally.) Corden was team past diva, and Lovato was team current diva.

He said: "Well, yes, they are -Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston,'s a fact". Divas back then are just better than divas are today. I don't think she's a diva, but you let me know what you're thinking in the comments section below!

However, when James launched into Tina Turner's "River Deep, Mountain High", it was a different story.

Demi then asked him to battle her, saying: "Why don't we just settle this tonight?" "Just really terrible, bad". Fortunately, Lovato sang Adele and Katy Perry to prove her point that our beloved circa 2017 divas are legit, and completely slayed while she was at it.

After the performance, she jokingly concluded: "Can you pick my mic up. bitch!"
