Christians world over who celebrate Easter mark the greatness of Jesus's sacrifice to realise divinity by transcending humanity.

Rather than the limerick-priest subsisting exclusively on yeast, let us be yeast so that we celebrate Easter not just today, but everyday.
Russian President Vladimir Putin extended congratulations on Sunday to Orthodox Christians and all Russian citizens on Easter. More than 60 percent will buy Easter gifts.
"As we celebrate the risen Christ today, I want to encourage you all that because Jesus lives, we have hope". So All of that to say we are commemorating what Jesus did on the cross for us.
Meanwhile, Governor Dr Mridula Sinha and Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar have also extended their warm greetings and best wishes to the people of Goa on the occasion of Easter. "Because of this resurrection, we can have life instead of death; vitality instead of lack of energy; hope instead of despair and victory instead of defeat". And that is exactly what happened, Jesus willingly died on the cross, and as any dead man, He was buried. These people are missing out because Easter is so much more than a tradition; it is the power of God unto salvation and could be the beginning of that something new that so many are longing for.
"Only John was close a bit, he was close enough to see, everybody melted into the crowd, they stood afar and gave a distance, infact, it was the women that were even coming a bit close". Although easter comes after "Good Friday" which altogether is a day to mourn but "Easter" has its own charm to rejoice. One of Jesus' disciples betrayed him.
How the date is determined goes back to Christianity's roots, said the Rev. Moses Hibbard of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Billings.
Everyone who becomes a Christian does so because they believe that when Jesus was crucified on the cross, he paid the ultimate price for human sin, and that his resurrection enables anyone who believes in him to overcome sin and temptation.
Hot cross buns are also a traditional snack for this time of year.
Following Easter Sunday, the season of Easter begins and lasts for seven weeks, ending with Pentecost, Ascension Day.
One of the most impressive pieces of testimony to the historic actuality of Christ's resurrection is the tremendous change that came over the apostles once they had wholeheartedly accepted it as truth.
