LG Electronics launched their latest offering, the G6 flagship smartphone in South Africa on Tuesday, 4 April.
The LG G6 comes with a few standout features - It comes with Google Assistant on board, has an unusual 18:9 Full Vision display (instead of the regular 16:9), come with Dolby Vision and HDR 10 support for enhanced video and has a striking near bezel-less design with a 90% screen to body ratio.

For many customers, LG's reputation and heritage of excellence in smartphone photography is what separates its phones from the competition. And the 5MP 100-degree field of view frontcamera allows for large group shots without the need to tote around a cumbersome selfie stick.
The G6, however, hardly flexes at all maintaining its water tight seals which means the device should remain water and dust resistant even under heavy pressure.
In terms of optics, the new LG flagship smartphone comes with a dual-camera setup at rear end with two 13-megapixel sensors - one for wide-angle shots with 125-degree lens and f/2.4 aperture, and the other for regular shots with 71-degree lens and OIS 2.0.
The LG G6 houses a non-removable 3300mAh battery.
The company said the G6 will continue to reach out to more countries down the road by joining forces with some 200 mobile carriers. "We had a lot of ground to make up with the G series and what we learned from consumers in the past year has truly been inspiring and illuminating". LG is seeking to provide a playful mobile experience that extends beyond the scope of traditional smartphones.
