The tweet came around 9:10 a.m. Friday. An official of Trump's transition confirmed the lawyer's internal order, which was sent Thursday. The official demanded anonymity because the official was not authorized to be named discussing the deliberations.
The most explosive was a June 14 report in The Post that Mueller's probe "now includes an examination of whether President Trump attempted to obstruct justice".
Rosenstein submitted a widely circulated memo to the president last month raising concerns over Comey's performance, but Trump later asserted that he had already made the decision himself to fire Comey.
