Authorities say the man who opened fire on GOP lawmakers on Wednesday was carrying a list of Republicans, according to NBC News.

The Bernie Sanders supporter told his wife he had an interest in tax policy, and he sold his Harley motorcycle and home inspection business before making the trip in March. "She had no idea he felt as strong as he did", Wagner said. Scalise, the house majority whip, remains in a critical condition. In addition to targeting Republicans and the newfound assassination list, Hodgkinson posted inflammatory statements on Facebook criticizing President Trump and other members of the Republican party. Hodgkinson was mortally wounded by police.

When Ivanka Trump casually said recently that she was shocked at the level of viciousness encountered by her father and her family, the left responded, well, viciously by attacking the first daughter for daring to even raise the issue.

"I just don't know what to tell you people", she said. "I know I speak for the entire country in saying that my hopes and prayers are that Rep. Scalise, congressional staff and the Capitol Police officers who were wounded make a quick and full recovery".

Investigators studying Wednesday's attack at a suburban Virginia park said Thursday that Hodgkinson had obtained his rifle and handgun from licensed firearms dealers.

Hodgkinson, who was killed by police during the rampage, contacted both of his state's Democratic senators frequently, spokesmen said Friday. "I can't wrap my head around it, okay?"

Sue Hodgkinson stood unsteady and emotional as a local sheriff's deputy held her hand and led her to a bank of several microphones.

Ten years earlier, a foster daughter committed suicide by dousing herself with gasoline and setting herself on fire inside her auto, the Belleville News-Democrat reported. She said Hodgkinson was home all day, and she suspected he left because "he just wanted a break from it". "I don't", said Sue. "I talked to people on the Iowa campaign this morning who have never heard of him". "I think it's bad", Reis said.

"How dare they say such a thing?"

Salter reported from Belleville, Illinois.
