Blues have 'serious and strong' interest in signing Man City striker
Jul 18 2017
Sky sources say "it will be very hard for Chelsea to sign Aguero" but that their interest is real.
Despite the problems at the club, Aguero has declared their allegiance Manchester city and expressed readiness to end to finalize the current contract, which expires in the summer of 2019.
Were it to happen, Sergio Aguero to Chelsea would be one of the biggest transfers ever seen in English football.
Aguero is synonymous with Manchester City and it seems unlikely even if Pep Guardiola doesn't want the Argentine, he surely wouldn't strengthen a rival. We are a team that aspires to win every competition we compete in.
The Blues will try to sign a striker this summer to replace Diego Costa, who has been told he is not in Antonio Conte's plans for next season.
While a lot of water has passed under the bridge since Aguero made this statement, there is absolutely no doubting the potency that the little Argentinian would bring to Jurgen Klopp's front line.
Conte has drawn up a wishlist that includes Aubameyang, Alvaro Morata, Andrea Belotti and more recently Sergio Aguero. "It has never been in doubt".
Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol claims Chelsea are looking to take advantage of that and complete a shock swoop this summer.
The Argentine global has scored 122 times for the Citizens in the six years he has been playing in the blue half of Manchester.
But now it looks like Chelsea will turn their attentions to Sergio Aguero as they look to defend their league title next season.
