Chelsea are preparing an offer of €80m for Alvaro Morata although Real Madrid are holding out for €90m, say reports in Spain. The Italian in charge at Stamford Bridge, Antonio Conte, has not hidden his admiration over Morata and although the asking price is no different than that made clear to United, the working relationships between the two clubs is much more fluid.
United announced the signing of the Belgium worldwide today in a £75m deal.
For his part, Morata would have no problem agreeing a deal at Chelsea.
Conte knows the player well as he played a key role in Morata's move to Juve in 2014 and it appears the pair could now be reunited in west London this summer if Chelsea can agree a deal.
Morata scored 20 goals in 43 appearances for Madrid last season but the 24-year-old striker is desperate for a move away from the Bernabeu in search of more regular game-time.
