Moto Z2 Force Goes Official; Features a ShatterSheid Display, Dual-Camera Setup
Jul 26 2017
The Moto Z2 Force has been announced, bringing flagship specs, modular design, a dual camera system and of course, a shatterproof screen into action alongside the company's second-generation mid-range Moto Z2 Play. The phone feels nice in the hand; it's sharper non-bezeless design catches our palms for a good grip, and the 5.5-inch ShatterShieldscreen is nestled away safely and comfortably within this frame.
The most important question of all: How much is the Motorola Moto Z2 Force smartphone?
Along with Lenovo's pocket Insta-Share projector and the Hasselblad zoom camera mod, it's Motorola's third wild idea for the Z series of phones. The Z2 Force works with the entire lineup of Moto Mods, including a new $300 360-degree camera attachment, and a variety of other practical add-ons.
The three most important aspects of this phone are the Moto Mods, dual cameras, and the shatter-proof display. One of the Force's lenses is monochrome, while the other is full colour - just like the OnePlus 5's dual-lens snapper. The camera application will have additional features as well including the ability to add depth-of-field effects, a "True B&W" mode, and more. Within the device lies its own built-in editing software, which users can launch on the phone right from the cameras interface.
Moto Z2 Force is expected to come with IP68 certification, making it water and dust resistant.
Powering the device is an octa-core 2.35GHz processor (Snapdragon 835) coupled with four or six gigabytes of RAM, on the 32GB and 64GB models respectively. All phones feature a SD card for expandable storage however. It has a RAM of 4 GB and an internal memory of 64 GB (as said before).
Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE, Nasdaq: VZ), headquartered in New York City, has a diverse workforce of 161,000 and generated almost $126 billion in 2016 revenues. The mods, which range from fancy cameras to fatter batteries, simple connect to the magnet, creating a chunky new device.
Motorola's also added some functionality to Moto Display - specifically, in-line text reply. A 3.5mm headphone jack.
The phone runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat, but it will receive Android O upgrade at the earliest. The device will be available in the United States from August 10 across all the USA carriers, unlike the Verizon exclusive Moto Z Force. If you want that GamePad, it will launch later this year for an unknown price. Let us know by commenting below.
