My Lawyers Wanna Grill Lady Gaga

Kesha Dr. Luke Lady Gaga

"Dr. Luke's team is attempting to manipulate the truth and draw press attention to their case by exaggerating Lady Gaga's role and falsely accusing her of dodging reasonable requests".

It all stems from a series of 2013 text messages between Lady Gaga and Kesha in which the two artists discuss Dr. Luke's alleged inappropriate behavior.

Luke's lawyers subpoenaed Gaga to get a copy of the texts, but according to the docs. the copy they got was so heavily redacted it was incomprehensible.

In 2014, Kesha sued producer Dr. Luke (Lukasz Gottwald) with claims of sexual assault and battery, and to seek a termination of contract.

Gaga, who has been subpoenaed for the situation, has been a frank supporter of Kesha amid Kesha's fight in court against Luke over cases he tranquilized, assaulted, and sincerely mishandled her.

As the suits between Kesha and Dr. Luke heated up female celebrities including Taylor Swift, Kelly Clarkson, and Gaga all expressed support for Kesha, although Gaga was the most outspoken.

Kesha gifted fans with an emotional comeback this year thanks to her single "Praying" and the touching video that accompanied it. Weeks later, her new hit "Woman" was dubbed a feminist anthem for summer playlists everywhere. In August, she dropped her lawsuit against Dr. Luke in California in an effort to focus on creating new music, according to her legal counsel.

Gaga reportedly has refused requests to remove the redactions, saying that "the redacted materials are irrelevant and address unspecified 'private matters, '" Movit says.

In fact, Luke's lawyers already issued a subpoena for Gaga in March for an oral testimony in a deposition.

Luke's counsel did so because they believed that Gaga has relevant information about the false statement Kesha told her against Luke. In the docs, Luke says she tried to offer up a written statement instead. but he says that's not good enough.

"I didn't rape Kesha and I have never had sex with her. Kesha and I were friends for many years and she was like my little sister", he wrote on Twitter in February 2016.

Dr. Luke filed documents demanding Gaga set a date for a live deposition of "no more than three hours", TMZ reports.
