Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry Being Investigated For Battery

Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry is under investigation for battery

The head coach of the team in florida, Adam Gases, has confirmed to the network ESPN on Monday that the organization was aware of the situation. No decision is expected this week on charges.

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jarvis Landry is reportedly under investigation for battery, stemming from an alleged incident involving his girlfriend earlier this year in Fort Lauderdale.

Fort Lauderdale police presented an investigation to the Broward state attorney's office, which is reviewing the matter, said state attorney spokesman Ron Ishoy said.

This report released on Monday definitely won't help Landry's case for a new contract with the Dolphins.

The dispute involved Landry's girlfriend, who is the mother of his daughter, according to a report from WINZ radio's Andy Slater.

Estrella Cerqueira said in the statement that she did not call police following what she termed a "vocal disagreement" and said she never had any concern for her physical well-being.

However, a police spokeswoman said the incident occurred in April, not March.

The 24-year-old Landry is in his fourth National Football League season out of Louisiana State University. "Past that, I can't really comment on anything". He was on the practice field Monday.
