Images of an altercation that had escalated between four women shopping in a Walmart in MI have surfaced and are likely to have for them very serious consequences. "She pulled out her firearm and tells them to stop attacking her daughter while pointing the gun at them".
"It was in the back-to-school section over a notebook", local Police Detective Scott Baetens told Fox 2 Detroit. While there, the unnamed 32- and 46-year-old pair came across another woman, 20, shopping with her 51-year-old mother. One of them reached for the last notebook on a shelf as did another woman.
"One girl was going to buy a notebook".
Police said the gun was pulled out during a fight over school supplies. There was one left, some pushing resulted. Video shows customers and employees running away from the area.
Both duos of women were not backing down, as police and witnesses described the two women pulling the younger woman's hair.
"It was a senseless act of violence all the way around", a police representative said.
"She's a valid CPL (Concealed Pistol License) holder", Baetens said.
According to the paper, police reviewed the footage as part of their investigation and then submitted the case to the Oakland County Prosecutor's Office for review and possible charges. The gun was loaded, but there was no round in the chamber, WJBK reported. "I don't know how they ended up with it, but in the middle of the confrontation, they ended up with it and they purchased it", Baetens said.
