Amazon's newest Prime Exclusive phone is the Moto X4 for $329

This Moto Mod Smart Speaker just popped up with Alexa

Just ask Alexa and the info appears on your moto z screen.

Just like the other Moto Mods, it snaps onto the back of the handset, and once it's in place, it essentially turns any compatible device such as the Moto Z2 Force into an Echo device. Back in February during the Mobile World Congress, the two companies revealed that they were working together to bring Alexa to Moto Z smartphones as a Moto Mod accessory.

The latest Moto Smart Speaker for Moto Z smartphones makes Alexa available to anyone anywhere. Similar to Alexa on other devices, this Moto Mod lets you control the smart home appliances from Samsung, Belkin, GE and many others. The Moto Smart Speaker with Amazon Alexa will sell for $149.99 in the us starting in November.

The only real reason why someone would want to purchase the module is so that they can have their Alexa on the go, with cellular data on tap. The mod also has a clever dock design that's intended for use on your nightstand.

Like the Moto X4 sold internationally, this model offers a 5.2-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 630, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a dual-camera system comprised of a 12MP and 8MP sensor, 3,000 mAh battery, and IP68 dust and water resistance. And with a 15-hour built-in battery, you won't kill your phone if you're constantly asking questions. However, Moto Mods never caught up with the people, partly because of the high prices and partly because of a lack of variety in accessories.

The Alexa smart speaker Moto Mod comes with a dock design that's ideal for the nightstand. The mod will work exactly as the normal assistant and comes with a dedicated speaker that will output Alexa's voice.
