As part of a deal with federal prosecutors, Salling, 35, pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography involving a prepubescent minor, according to a report in the New York Daily News Wednesday. He will also be ordered to pay $50,000 to each victim who requests it, and will be ordered to complete a sex offender treatment program.

The documents also revealed that Salling used software to mask his downloading activities, but was reported to police by an ex-girlfriend.

The actor was facing two counts of child pornography after police found over 50,000 images of child erotica on his computer and another 4,000 on a flash drive.

Salling played bad-boy Noah "Puck" Puckerman on the Fox musical dramedy "Glee".

In March, Salling reached a $2.7m settlement with a woman who sued him for sexual battery, claiming Salling forced her to engage in unprotected sex.

In December 2015 Mark Salling's home was raided and searched and his laptop was seized. After the horrifying discovery, Salling was cut from the film "Gods and Secrets".

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Salling must also register as a sex offender, have no communication with anyone under the age of 18 (unless in the presence of a parent or legal guardian).

The news comes nearly a year to the day after a rape rap against Salling was tossed, because a woman accusing him waited too long to report the alleged sex attack.
