Oliver Giroud beats SA's Oscarine Masuluke to Federation Internationale de Football Association goal of the year

Instead of heading it back towards goal or finding a teammate with a pass, Masuluke launched himself into the air and pulled off a stunning strike that left Pirates goalkeeper Jackson Mabokgwane clutching at thin air.
This is despite the shot-stopper eventually losing out to Arsenal' FC striker Olivier Giroud, who accumulated 36.17% of the 792 062 votes cast. The third nominee, Venezuela's Deyna Castellanos, got 20.47%.
Portugal captain Ronaldo, who was named Best FIFA Men's Player, praised Masuluke during the gala event which was held in London, England.
"I'm delighted to receive this trophy today in front of legends of football", said Giroud. "He (usually) never goes forward and he tried an incredible goal, too", he said during the Federation Internationale de Football Association awards gala. "Without them I can not score this goal".
Faiz said he was happy for Frenchman Giroud for winning the award this year.
SAFA confirmed how Masuluke's goal did against some of the stars from big clubs from around the world.
