These new Pokeman will be making their first-ever appearance in Pokemon Go, while others such as Gastly, Drowzee, Cubone, and other spooky Pokemon are back again this Halloween.

Those of you itching for the whole roster of next-generation Pokemon will have to wait a little longer, though: Niantic says gen three will gradually start around December.

You can earn double Candy rewards from catching, hatching, and transferring Pokemon.

"For the duration of the Halloween event, special Pikachu will also be out and about, celebrating in costume and available for Trainers to catch", Niantic said.

The announcement for the Pokemon Go event comes about a year after the first of its in-game events initiated with the first Halloween celebration, followed by the expansion of augmented reality in gaming and various other segments of the tech industry.

Other datamining efforts also found evidence for the inclusion of shiny-ghost Pokemon, although these may be being kept back for another goal.

While hunting Pokemon, players can also use your Pokémon Go AR camera to capture festive photos and share them on social media using #PokemonGOHalloween.

Super Incubators, incubators that hatch Pokemon faster than normal, will be available for purchase in special boxes from the game shop.

Halloween treats coming to Pokémon GO! While Sableye is the weakest of the new Pokemon, the fact that it has an alternate coloration will make it highly sought after during the Halloween season.

If Halloween isn't really your thing, the game will still be adding updates starting in December that add all the Pokemon from the Ruby and Sapphire games to the mix.
