The cable network's Florida-set reality series - a "Jersey Shore" spinoff that debuted Monday night (Nov. 27) - scored the cable network's highest ratings for a new series premiere in more than three years, according to MTV. The announcement was made during the awful new "Shore" spin-off "Floribama Shore", which takes place in Panama City Beach, Fla. Unfortunately, Sammi Giancola would not be part of the show for some unknown reasons. And yes: Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, and all our other deeply tanned friends will be appearing on the hotly anticipated series.
Five years after the end of Jersey Shore, the reality show that unleashed Snooki, GTL, and DTF upon the world, the visionaries at MTV are getting the gang back together for an official reunion. So the new series will have a "family vacation" theme.

The big reveal came during Floribama Shore, which attempted (and failed) to capture the magic of Jersey Shore with its own colorful cast of characters living together for the summer. But for now, we're just doing fist pumps knowing that the show will return at all, in whatever form it takes on.
And on that same day, Polizzi let fans know that she can still funnel wine with the best of 'em. It will premiere in 2018, with a formal date to be announced later.
