Harvey Weinstein sued over Cannes sex attack claims by Brit actress

LAPD Opens Weinstein Sexual Assault Probe

But that was until Kadian Noble, an aspiring British actress, made a decision to sue both Harvey and his brother Bob, and the Weinstein Company under federal sex trafficking laws, in order to bring the movie mogul to the justice that his actions over the years, has deserved.

Kadian Noble, 31, said Weinstein groomed her in London by promising a role in a film before attacking her in the French city. When she rebuffed him, he "forcibly" pulled her into the bathroom, where he pulled down her shirt, unbuckled his trousers and masturbated as he rubbed against her and then forced her hand on his penis, the lawsuit states.

"Kadian has suffered severe injuries and emotional distress, pain and suffering, mental anguish, inconvenience, loss of capacity for the enjoyment of life, inability to lead a normal life, shame and humiliation", lawyer Stuart Mermelstein writes. "In an apparent attempt to entice KADIAN into sex with Harvey Weinstein, an unnamed TWC producer told Kadian that she needed to be "a good girl and do whatever [he] wished", and if she did, then 'they will work with [her] further'".

According to the suit, which was obtained by Buzzfeed News, Noble alleges the disgraced film producer lured her to the French Rivera in 2014 with "the promise of a film role". But it turns out someone figured one out, and Harvey Weinstein is being sued for sex trafficking by British actress Kadian Nobel. She is seeking damages under US sex trafficking laws.

She is now demanding a jury trial and unspecified damages in the suit, which also names Harvey's brother Bob and The Weinstein Company as co-defendants.

Weinstein allegedly pulled Noble into the bathroom and told her to relax while he gripped her firmly.

That's when Weinstein pulled Kadian closer and "groped her breasts", the lawsuit said.

'Harvey Weinstein traveled in foreign commerce, knowingly recruiting or enticing Kadian, offering her something of value, knowing that he would use this offer as a means to defraud, force or coerce her into a sexual encounter, ' reads the complaint. She told him to stop but he forced his leg between her legs and began to rub her vagina.

Bob Weinstein is yet to respond to the suit, but has denied any knowledge in his brother Harvey's alleged misconduct.

"Harvey Weinstein actively had no intention of following through with his promise of a role., " the lawsuit said.

'TWC employees knew to "take care" of the FOH's'. "Mr Weinstein has further confirmed that there were never any acts of retaliation against any women for refusing his advances".
