It came in the midst of a busy Thanksgiving shopping weekend.

A bustling shopping mall in Middletown, New York, was evacuated Sunday after reports of a shooting, CBS New York reports. Both victims are expected to be OK.

People on scene tweeted the Galleria Mall has been evacuated.

They say a man discharged the weapon into the floor. Police also searched the mall a second time to ensure there were no other victims and that all customers and employees had left the area.

"That is yet to be determined, the intent of letting the round go", said Chief Robert Hertman of the Town of Wallkill Police Department. According to the Galleria at Crystal Run website, the mall has a "no weapons allowed" policy.
