Several people killed in plane crash at Bartow Airbase, Polk County deputies say

John's Adult daughters: Olivia Shannon, 24, a Southeastern University Student, and Victoria Shannon Worthington, 26, A Baltimore School Teacher from Baltimore, MD.

Sheriff's office spokeswoman Carrie Horstman said Shannon had filed a flight plan to fly Sunday from Bartow to Key West.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office says a twin-engine plane crashed Sunday morning at the end of a runway at Bartow Municipal Airport.

Family Friend: Krista Clayton, 32, a teacher at Jewett Academy of Lakeland.

Judd said authorities are in possession of a video that shows the crash; it was taken by a photographer wanting to capture the fog.

The NTSB and FAA were tasked with investigating what caused the crash.

"This is a horrific tragedy, especially on Christmas Eve, and the victims and their families are in our prayers", reads a statement from the Sheriff's Office.

"He said, 'I couldn't believe that they were taking off in this fog, '" Judd said.

Sheriff's deputies say all five passengers on board perished in the crash.

"There was no chance of survival", Judd told WFLA.

A fire engulfed the plane after it crashed; everyone on board died.

Victoria Shannon and Peter Worthington were married in June at Baltimore's George Peabody Library, according to a wedding announcement.
