Dec 02 2017
Ever since Stranger Things fans binge-watched season 2 when it was released on Netflix, everyone has been wondering if there is another series on the horizon. The announcement came shortly after Netflix asked the Twitterverse if the streaming media company should make another season.
The series' beloved stars, including Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Millie Bobby Brown and Caleb McLaughlin, among others, are all returning for the upcoming season. Creators Matt and Ross Duffer have confirmed that Netflix has already greenlit Stranger Things Season 3. Season 3 is officially happening'.
But those numbers would make "Stranger Things" one of the most popular television shows in the United States, not far behind AMC's hit show "The Walking Dead". They also revealed that there will likely be a fourth season that will probably be the show's last.
"Stranger Things" season 2 is now available on Netflix. But it's still great to have the next season set in stone, even if we know very little about where it's headed. With all the pop-culture references in Stranger Things, we wouldn't put it past them. "We're excited [to] spend more time with Max and develop her in a way...we're sort of scratching the surface on this season of what I think she's capable of". The brothers later walked back that statement, saying it's too soon to settle on and end date but they plan to have at least four seasons.
