Curry propels Warriors past injury-riddled Clippers

Stephen Curry checks on the Clippers’ Blake Griffin who suffered a concussion during Saturday’s loss in Los Angeles

Lou Wiliams and DeAndre Jordan led the team with 26 points each, Blake Griffin added 24 points with nine rebounds and seven assists while Wesley Johnson chipped in with 13 points.

While Blake Griffin has returned from injury to play in the past four games, the Clippers are still incredibly banged up, which will hurt their chances in this game.

Leading by 9 at halftime, the Warriors out-scored the Clippers 39-21 in the third quarter, expanding the lead to as many as 30 points. He was diagnosed with a concussion and the Clippers announced that he would not return to the game. Stephen Curry has been back for three games, but now Kevin Durant will miss his second straight with a calf strain.

Griffin collapsed to the Staples Center floor and grabbed his head while shaking in pain.

He remained down for several minutes before he was helped up and walked carefully to the locker room.

Griffin is averaging 23.6 points, 7.7 rebounds and 5.3 assists this season. "When you have the ability to look up and see the replay, obviously he was hit pretty bad". Despite the plethora of ailments listed on the Warriors' injury report, it appears that Durant will be the only one not to suit up.
