Nintendo Switch Firmware 3.0.0 Hacked, Homebrew Reportedly Coming Soon
Jan 03 2018
Wololo reported back in late November of 2017 that the hacking community had already managed to exploit the 3.0.0 firmware for the Nintendo Switch and even managed to release an exploit tool in order to get into that particular firmware version of the system. It seems that the developers are looking to leave no platform left unturned with their approach of making the game as accessible as possible.
Nintendo is a Switch-selling machine, and it doesn't look like the company will be slowing down at any point next fiscal year. "As a publisher, salesperson, marketer and representative of Nintendo, it's a once-in-a-career kind of year". While the new hardware started Nintendo's 2017 rise, it was blockbuster releases from its two venerable and massively successful franchises that carried the momentum. Nintendo Switch is both a Nintendo handheld and console that can be docked and this allows for the company to pool their development resources, The result is a game like Super Mario Odyssey being able to release in the launch year of the Nintendo Switch. The second video game in the list also belongs to Nintendo - Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. None of the listed games have been given titles, but they add to evidence that Nintendo is hosting a Direct live stream this month loaded with surprises. New Metroid Prime and Pokémon games are also in the works.
It remains to be seen how Nintendo will follow up their unbelievable 2017.
In a similar fashion, it is only recently that Overcooked: Special Edition for the Nintendo Switch is getting a physical release on Amazon despite being on the eShop for many months now, but it is routine for developers to deliver an all-in-one edition of their game when they release on a platform months after release.
