Battle for Azeroth Release Window Revealed, Pre-Purchase Now Open

Blizzard announced Battle for Azeroth - the next expansion for the popular MMO World of Warcraft - will launch this summer and is available to pre-purchase right now. The standard edition of Battle for Azeroth goes for $50 while a Digital Deluxe edition is available for $70.

In addition there are the new Allied Races to play as, a new Heart of Azeroth artifact which unlocks new powers in your equipment, and of loads of new content and associated rewards to keep you busy your way to the new level cap of 120. Those who pre-order will also get first access to four new playable "Allied Races", including Void Elves, Lightforged Draenei, Highmountain Tauren and Nightborne.

As you can tell from the epic cinematic trailer, Battle for Azeroth will focus on the ongoing conflict between the Alliance and Horde. The pre-order for the game ($49.99) offers an immediate character boost to level 110. If you manage to level up an Allied Race character from 20 to 110, you'll earn a distinctive Heritage Armor set every time you do so. Available from Blizzard's online store, the preorder comes in two flavors, with the standard edition securing the expansion alone, while the Digital Deluxe Edition includes a few extra in-game goodies.

You also get player icons for Kul Tiras and Zandalar; along with sprays featuring Anduin, Sylvanas, Jaina, and Varok Saurfang artwork. Everyone can enjoy the adorable baby Tortollan pet.
