Burnout Paradise Remastered announced for PS4 and Xbox One
Feb 21 2018
Burnout Paradise Remastered will feature a new engine to power its updated graphics and will include all downloadable content, including the game's Big Surf Island update.
The remaster will certainly breathe new life into the Burnout series and hints that Criterion Games are not finished with their beloved IP.
Everyone has their favorite game in the long and storied Burnout series, but for me, it's definitely Burnout Paradise. The game supports 4K resolution on the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X. On the standard versions of the consoles, it displays at 1080p.
Burnout Paradise Remastered will come with nearly all of the downloadable content released for the original game. "What we created 10 years ago, is as fun and unique today as it was back then", said Matt Webster, General Manager at Criterion Games in a prepared statement. Here's a trailer to remind you.
Burnout: Paradise, a classic open-world racing game in which players could drive around with a roster of 150 cars in Paradise City and wreak havoc on both the public property and their own cars, is getting a remaster for PS4 and Xbox One on March 16th.
"In 2008, the original Burnout Paradise came roaring off the starting line ready to demolish the competition".
Burnout Paradise Remastered will be available on March 16 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. This means that the Big Surf Island expansion that never released on the PC version will finally be available to fans on the platform. Those who are part of the EA Access program will get to play the game beginning on March 9 through the Play First Trial, offering an early peek at the game a week before launch.
The post also confirms that servers will be live, and you'll be able to play around in Paradise City with up to three of your friends.
