Hours after the official unveiling of the new Super Eagles' World Cup jersey by the Nigeria Football Federation and kits giant Nike, the entire British media and global press have not stopped talking about it.

The unveiling of the green white and black geometric design kit by sports brand Nike was applauded for daring to steer away from the white and green stripped kits that the Super Eagles have always donned.

The away shirt is closer in resemblance to their more recent shirts with an all-over dark green design.

The kits had some similarities with the jerseys Nigeria wore at their World Cup debut in 1994 in the United States of America.

Nigeria will face Croatia, Iceland and Argentina in Group D at the mundial.

Super Eagles skipper Mikel Obi and teammate Alex Iwobi have reacted to the new Super Eagles World Cup kit designed by sportswear company, Nike.

England have unleashed their new kit which will they will hope inspire them to World Cup glory in Russian Federation this summer. "When I scored that goal, the players were dancing, the fans were playing trumpets and bringing drums...there was just so much passion and energy", says Iwobi.
