Bride on way to wedding arrested for DUI after car crash

Police say a bride in southern Arizona was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving after she was involved in a vehicle crash on the way to her wedding.

Chriswell Scott, Amber Young was arrested and booked around 10:30 the scene of a three vehicle accident.

"This morning at 10:30, we received a 911 call about a three-car collision on the corner of Orange Grove and Thornydale roads", Scott tells Yahoo Lifestyle.

A bride has been arrested on the way to her own wedding. Scott tweeted that one person suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.

'This could've turned out way worse than it did. "It's supposed to be the happiest day of her life and this just goes out as a reminder as to why you should never drive while impaired".

Young was transported to a police substation where she was taken into custody then released back to her fiance after signing a criminal citation.

According to Arizona law, driving under the influence is defined as a blood-alcohol concentration of 0.08 percent or more, and any percentage for people under the age of 21.

According to Fox News, an officer at the scene, Sergeant Chriswell Scott tweeted a photo of the bride being handcuffed in all her wedding finery.
