Tiffany Haddish re-wore her beloved Alexander McQueen dress to the Oscars

Tiffany Haddish's outfit for the Oscars red carpet is a tribute to her dad

Tiffany Haddish and Maya Rudolph might only be presenters at the 2018 Oscars but Jimmy Kimmel should be on high alert, because the two look like they're out to snatch his hosting job next year. In response to the question "What are you wearing?" on the red carpet, the actress said: "My father is from Eritrea".

In a video captured by Variety's Elizabeth Wagmeister, Haddish can be heard yelling, "you're gonna be my momma!"

Some had complained that Haddish had been snubbed by Oscar voters for her great work in "Girls Trip".

HADDISH: So many. We just came from backstage, and there are tons of them back there.

Really, the night should have just ended there - and with the Academy wheeling all the remaining awards onto the stage and into her arms.

During her SNL monologue, Haddish addressed the Hollywood taboo of re-wearing fancy gowns to multiple events.

The "Girls Trip" comic donned her go-to Alexander McQueen gown Sunday night to present the Oscar for Best Animated/Live Action Short alongside fellow amusing woman Mia Rudolph.

Even though her team told her it was "taboo to wear it twice", Haddish said, "I don't give a dang about no taboo". "Rocking my $4,000 Alexander McQueen dress again".

"[Beyoncé] could probably call me on the phone and I'm going to act like her name is Gladys", Haddish added with a laugh.

"My heart has been smiling since she walked onto the Oscars red carpet, I literally started crying", Fetaw said.

RUDOLPH: Tiffany, can I just say, when you peed off a zip line in "Girls Trip", it was brilliant.

HADDISH: I don't know, but it feels like I'm in a department store. "That was incredible", she said to "ET".
