There is also a special 128GB model with an under-display fingerprint scanner. The phone's UD version comes with an under-the-display fingerprint sensor just like the one seen on the Vivo X20 UD.
Vivo X21 UD flaunts a 6.28-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with 18:9 aspect ratio. Fingerprint / In-display Fingerprint sensor and 3.5mm audio jack, AK4376A Hi-Fi audio chip. That's a little odd, isn't it? It will include an internal storage of 128GB, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.
The device will run on Android 8.1 Oreo with company's own FunTouch OS 4.0 running on top of it. The phone has an iPhone X-like notch on the top, where it has IR fill light and a 12 MP front-facing camera, both of which can be used for facial authentication called Face Wake 2.0 with 3D mapping.
The phone has dual camera setup with 12-megapixel Samsung 2L9 sensor having Dual Pixel technology, f/1.8 aperture and 5-megapixel secondary camera sensor with f/2.4 aperture to capture depth information. Aside from that, it will possibly feature a mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 chipset too. The Vivo V9 also seems to be equipped with AI-based camerafeatures, something we also saw in Honor View 10. Also, Vivo has introduced their virtual assistant- Jovi with these two smartphones.
The 64GB model costs CNY 2,898 ($458), while the 128GB is priced at CNY 3,198 ($505). Also, the 12MP front camera has AI beauty recognition and can output 24MP resolution images.
The phone has other connectivity features such as Bluetooth 5.0, microUSB 2.0, proximity sensor along with additional features such as Fast battery charging etc. It comes in Black, Aurora White and Ruby Red colors. Connectivity options include the usual 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11, Dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth, microUSB, and Global Positioning System. The phone will be available in Pearl Black and Gold colour options.
