Latest Avengers: Infinity War Featurette Focuses On 'Family'

Our possible first taste of that next phase remains untitled for spoiler reasons, but Joe Russo said that it's "going to be quite a long while" before people learn the title of AVENGERS 4, squishing hopes that the reveal would come at the conclusion of AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR.

Emmy-nominated actress Carrie Coon (Fargo, The Leftovers) has been revealed as a cast member of Avengers: Infinity War. She also performed some motion capture for the character as well as providing the voice.

While Thanos is unquestionably the biggest, baddest villain coming to Avengers: Infinity War, he's not coming alone.

According to Radio Times, a mo-cap performance seems like it was definitely necessary to accurately portray Proxima Midnight, who in the comics "is armed with a spear that possesses the power of a time-distorted sun and is coated in an incredibly deadly toxin".

The key part of that is the opening, with the directors telling us it'll take a moment before recognising him, which suggests his appearance will at least be different to normal - or that he might not be *appearing* at all.

For those interested in knowing more about the character and the events that led him on a path to destroy half of all life in the universe, Marvel Studios is bringing out an official tie-in novel that will introduce Thanos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He's the one who was presumably giving Doctor Strange the shush treatment in the last trailer.

Ebony Maw is the telekinetic member of the group. He played a character who we've called Cull Obsidian, who was in the books known as Black Dwarf.

Talking about Terry's barely-speaking character, Anthony said, "He's not so much a voice". The only voice actor for the Black Order yet to be unveiled is the one for Corvus Glaive, Thanos' right-hand man who uses his high military ranking, his skills in dastardly diplomacy, and his enormous glaive in order to get the things he and his crew most desire: the Infinity Stones.

Catch Coon as Proxima Midnight in Avengers: Infinity War when it launches in cinemas on April 27. But some speculate that Game Of Thrones actor Peter Dinklage will be the person. On that day, a new actor would be cast to play the newly iconic role.
