Mega Man X Legacy Collections Coming in July

Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 and 2 launch July 26 in Japan

In the mix, though, is the Mega Man X Collection, and we finally have a release date for it, at least in Japan. After all, Mega Man X proved to be a very successful spin-off series all its own, with almost as many games as the core Mega Man franchise.

Each of the games in the collection has gotten some degree of visual polish, like optional smoothing and CRT filters for the sprite-based games and 3D models getting sharpened for later ones.

Today, Capcom has unveiled new information regarding Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 & 2.

Capcom came through with more details on the Mega Man X Legacy Collections, which will be divided up into two sets on PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.

The collection will also include vintage trailers for every Mega Man X game, a museum of artwork and snapshots of various products from the history of the franchise.

Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 contains Mega Man X 1-6, and Mega Man X Legacy Collection 2 features Mega Man 5-8.

Both collections feature soundtracks for all four games, with additional music created just for the new bundles.

At the end of the video is something new - X Challenge Mode.

Mega Man 11 will also release later this year for all consoles, so the love for the Blue Bomber continues throughout 2018. A physical Switch copy will also be released, but like the Classic collection, the second part will require a separate download. The retail bundle in North America will run $39.99.
