Moto G6 gets listed on Amazon ahead of launch: Key specs revealed
Apr 15 2018
Motorola is expected to announce the Moto G6 and perhaps the G6 Plus and G6 Play next week at an event in Sao Paulo Brazil, but we've already seen a quick look at each of the phones after a new leak. The Moto G6 series include smartphones like Moto G6, Moto G6 Plus, and Moto G6 Play. Giving rise to its "Plus" name, the G6 Plus is expected to arrive with a larger 5.93-inch Full HD display.
Even though the prices will be different depending on the model, Motorola Moto G6, G6 Plus and G6 Play will have very similar designs. Also, the G6 Play will only have a single-lens rear camera as opposed to the Moto G6 and G6 Plus. All three Moto G6 phones are expected to sport full-screen displays. According to the listing page, the smartphone sports a 5.7-inch full HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio.
On the rear there's one camera and it's rumored to be a 13MP shooter, while on the front there's a likely 8MP sensor. The highlight of the G6 Play will be the fingerprint scanner placement; It's housed inside the Motorola dimple at the back, which is nothing new, but manufacturers have long forgotten this. The smartphone will have a 13-megapixel rear and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The render of the Moto G6 Play, in particular, confirms that it will likely be the only model with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor while the other two will see the sensor placed below the display. There will also be a dual camera setup with 12 and 5 MP resolution, and a 3000 mAh battery.
Moto G6 Play will be powered by 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage which can be expanded via micro sd card slot. To top things off, prospective buyers can expect a 12MP, plus 5MP dual camera setup, 3,200 mAh battery and a pretty standard connectivity load-out, including optional Dual SIM support. We will know more in the days leading up to the launch event on April 19.
