May 15 2018
Nigeria have named uncapped Crotone striker Simeon Nwankwo in a provisional 30-man squad for the 2018 World Cup.
Chelsea wingback Moses was Nigeria's top scorer in the qualifying campaign with three goals, while Captain Mikel, Iwobi, Simon and Iheanacho weighed in with two goals each.
Meanwhile, Nigeria's group opponent at the World Cup, Argentina has also released its provisional squad with Dybala and Icardi included as part of what will be a formidable attacking force if all the names go.
Dele Ajiboye has been a capable cover for Ikechukwu Ezenwa in the CHAN Eagles and central defender Eze shone at the last CHAN in Morocco to earn a transfer to Bulgaria.
"He is the surprise package for me". He truly deserves it especially having scored 18 goals in 20 games for Kano Pillars in the NPFL so far this season.
The team's training camp will run from 22 May until 11 June.
He opines that the level of support and encouragement given to the Nigerian side is enough to raise the anxiety of the players to give their best in Russia."Raising money to meet the demands of the Super Eagles to excel in Russia is very good if the money eventually got to them".
Godwin Bamigboye, the Chairman, FCT Football Coaches Association said the inclusion of the country's biggest goal contributors in the list was a welcome development.
Others are Ogenyi Onazi, Oghenekaro Etebo, Ahmed Musa and Victor Moses. I can't wait for the tournament to start already.
"I know that a lot of extensive work has been done".
"We have a month and a few days to the World Cup".
