Paul George Has Knee Surgery, Faces 6-8 Week Recovery

Paul George may have had surgery after posting

Oklahoma City Thunder Forward Paul George is recovering after undergoing a successful procedure Wednesday.

George, 28, had a stellar initial season with Oklahoma City, recording an average of 21.9 points on 40 percent shooting from distance.

The team's statement came after George posted a photo of himself on Instagram, smiling from a hospital bed with a caption saying "Good spirits".

"The knee, the forearm, the hip, those have been the biggest things", George said at the team's exit interviews.

George is expected to be sidelined six to eight weeks as a result of the procedure. But kind of everything just healing.

George dealt with knee soreness for much of last season, sitting out a game on December 29 because of it. "But just being able to address it this summer will help".

This lead to the wide speculation that he will hit the free agent market in July where he will be one of the most sought-after players available aside from the Thunder.

There has become the public assumption that the 27-year-old will be highly interested in playing for his hometown team next season.
