Battling illness along with competitive excitement this week, the singing journey on "American Idol" continues for Munhall contestant Gabby Barrett.
Contestants Cade Foehner and Michael J. Woodard fell short of the votes needed to continue.
Poppe will be in the "Idol" finale with Caleb Lee Hutchinson and Gabby Barrett after they were voted through in a live, nationwide vote.
She says, "This summer I kind of was at a low point". In fact, at one point the judges had to tell her not to try and be a Carrie-clone and fine her own identity.
Where Poppe shined was with her second performance, "God Only Knows" by the Beach Boys.
"Pretty sure he put yogurt in my hair and I am now being forced to watch Fraggle Rock (he loves the classics)", Underwood then revealed how she was spending her Mother's Day.
Gabby Barrett tackled Underwood's "Last Name". "She makes everybody else happy at the same time". I was like, it's not going to work out you know.
Cade redeemed himself with his Mother's Day dedication, "Simple Man" by Lynyrd Skynyrd.
"We've just loved your whole personality that you've brought to this competition", Bryan said.
Caleb Lee Hutchinson played it a little safer, staying in the lane that is best-suited for his voice: country.
According to Facebook, now that Maddie has made it to the final three for "American Idol", there will be a hometown parade and concert for her.
