XXXTentacion bought homes for family prior to murder

The 20-year-old rapper was leaving a motorcycle dealership in his BMW sports car on Monday when two men approached his vehicle and shot him to death

The up-and-coming U.S. rapper, whose given name was Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy, was gunned down in Deerfield Beach, Florida on Monday after leaving an upscale motorcycle dealership.

The Broward County Sheriff's Office has managed to detain Dedrick Devonshay Williams, 22, suspected of gunning down XXXTentacion.

The 20-year-old rapper was a controversial, but rising, figure.

After the rapper left the dealership Monday afternoon, detectives believe the driver of an SUV blocked him, and two men jumped out of the passenger side of an SUV armed with guns, according to records obtained by TMZ.

New evidence shows that the men who killed XXXTentacion, most likely knew who he was, and planned their attack once they saw him inside the motorcycle shop.

An arrest warrant filed in Broward County court says XXXTentacion brought a friend with him to the RIVA Motorsports store in Deerfield Beach, but the filing did not give further detail on his friend or what happened to him.

Charges for Williams, 22, include first-degree murder, a probation violation for theft of a auto motor vehicle and driving without a valid license.

The accused also stole a small bag from XXX's vehicle after killing him.

Police went on to arrest Williams after matching his orange sandals in an Instagram pic to a witness description of one of the suspects.

XXXTentacion was set to face criminal charges himself in connection with allegations that he had attacked his ex-girlfriend while she was pregnant with his child.
