Aleksandar Mitrovic: Fulham sign Serbia striker from Newcastle

Yoshinori Muto of Japan goes past Kamil Glik of Poland during the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia group H match between Japan and Poland at Volgograd Arena

Muto, who was part of Japan's World Cup squad in Russian Federation where he featured in the defeat by Poland, has been on Tyneside ahead of the proposed move, which is subject to a work permit.

Japan worldwide striker Yoshinori Muto will be plying his trade for the English Premier League side Newcastle United in the upcoming season.

The Serbia worldwide smashed 12 goals in just 17 Championship games to help Fulham back to the Premier League, a feat achieved with victory over Aston Villa in the play-off final.

Fulham have signed Aleksandar Mitrovic from Newcastle with the Serbian striker signing a five-year deal at Craven Cottage.

The 23-year-old enjoyed a prolific loan spell at Fulham last season and was vital in their push for promotion.

On his day Rondon looks a damn decent striker, his pace and power get the fans out of their sets but, too often, when I've seen him, it's fair to say he can be a little erratic, especially with his finishing. They're awesome fans and I have a really good connection with them.

Newcastle fans were in a sombre mood after the injury confirmation and took to Twitter to express their disappointment - here are the best tweets. He scored 17 times in 72 games for the Magpies. We want to keep making big things, and with all the fans behind us I think we can go far'.

After sealing his move, Mitrovic said: "I'm very happy and proud to finally be here and officially become a Fulham player".

"It means we can bring in another striker and we can be stronger", he said.
