Apple helped make an external GPU for its refreshed MacBook Pros

Apple rumoured to be releasing a linewide hardware refresh this year

Besides the smaller screen size, the choice of processors, and SSD, the rest of the configuration on the 13-inch MacBook Pro remains identical to the 15-inch model. It can also be configured to up to 32GB of RAM and 4TB of SSD storage.

The updated MacBook Pro with Touch Bar models will keep the same pricing as in the previous generation, starting at $2699 for the 13-inch model and $3499 for the 15-inch model. The 13-inch model will top out with quad-core processors.

Now that the 2015 MacBook Pro is no longer up for grabs from Apple, users are left with either buying via third-party sellers or hoping that refurbished models pop up via Apple's online store.

Add in the fact that Apple clearly has a reliability problem with its current MacBook Pro keyboards and the older 2015 model was a real alternative for many.

Anyway, those who are interested can purchase the Blackmagic eGPU now for $699.

The new MacBook Pros finally have 8th gen Intel processors, incorporates the True Tone display from the iPad and iPhone, and a new keyboard. And with its powerful Radeon Pro graphics, large Force Touch trackpad, revolutionary Touch Bar and Touch ID, dynamic stereo speakers, quiet Apple-designed cooling system, and Thunderbolt 3 for data transfer, charging and connecting up to two 5K displays or four external GPUs, it's the ultimate pro notebook.

Retina Display with True Tone Delivers Ultimate Viewing Experience With 500 nits of brightness and support for the P3 wide colour gamut, the Retina display on MacBook Pro is the best Mac notebook display ever. For instance, if you bought your MacBook Pro 15 or 16 days ago, there's a good chance that the manager will let it go and treat it like a 14-day return.

The laptops will also have a new "Hey Siri" capability that allows people to trigger Apple's voice assistant without having to hit a combination of keys beforehand.
