Former MTV VJ Jesse Camp missing, sister says he’s been ‘depressed lately’

Jesse Camp

On Monday police confirmed that former MTV VJ Jesse Camp is missing. At the time, Camp was spotted outside a hardware store that is considered a common hangout for "transients and homeless people". What he needs more than anything is kindness and love...

Marisha reportedly told police that her 38-year-old brother had recently been depressed but did not indicate he was suicidal. Camp was last seen in Riverside, California, and has not been identified in any hospitals or jails.

Camp was reported missing by his sister Marisha on July 19. At the time, she told officials his family had not heard from him in about a week. When a former girlfriend tried to call Camp, an unknown person answered his phone and said Camp gave away the phone, as well as three bags of his clothing and property.

Jesse's friend Andrew Schwartz recently added on Facebook, "We're really anxious about him".

Marish took to her Instagram story on July 19 to share a plea with her followers for information regarding her brother's whereabouts. If anyone has seen or talked to him please have him call his family!

Camp rose to fame in 1998 after winning the first season of MTV's Wanna Be a VJ.

Camp's last interview appears to be in 2016, when he was stopped by the New York Post for a video segment. He then served as a VJ on TRL before branching off to pursue a career in music as well.
