Lakers add veteran Michael Beasley to revamped roster

LeBron James 33 is a three-time NBA champion

But Warriors star Durant - who enjoyed a night out with James recently amid rumours the he wants to entice the reigning Finals MVP to the Lakers next summer - is all for James' move. He just wants to help the Lakers win.

The Los Angeles Lakers have signed Michael Beasley to a one-year contract, adding the veteran forward to their revamped core around LeBron James.

He said: "I think it is going to come together like a basketball team". With such a cast of characters, the Lakers' locker room could get a little odd during the season. "When I was a kid, being in barbershops meant listening to adults talk about sports, clothing, politics, music, everything happened in the shop", James told THR. "Don't be shy about being myself, just play the right way", Beasley said. He said he couldn't have lasted this long in the league if he didn't get along with his teammates, listen to coaches and work toward team goals - and he feels the same about Rondo, Stephenson and McGee, who have all had enduring careers. "I was trying to keep my emotions professional, (but) I had to put the phone on mute once or twice". The drop shadows have been returned to the player numbers after an 18-year absence, the large stripes are gone from either side of the jersey, the trim around the collar is now two-coloured instead of single, and the colours of the player numbers have changed.

"THE SHOP is exactly why we created UNINTERRUPTED", says LeBron James. Should Bosh get cleared and made a decision to play in L.A., it would reunite him with not only James but his former agent and current Lakers GM Rob Pelinka.

Last season for the New York Knicks, Beasley averaged 13.2 points and 5.6 rebounds while shooting 50.7 percent from the field and 39.5 percent from behind the 3-point arc.
