Reported 76ers 'Realistic' Trade Package Could Get Kawhi Leonard Deal Done

Kyle Lowry and Kawhi Leonard

San Antonio's string of dominance may be coming to an end, though, especially if Leonard ends up getting traded.

It's probably a longshot, but it is interesting to see that Toronto is being talked about alongside National Basketball Association heavyweights like the Los Angeles Lakers - Leonard's preferred choice - the Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers. Would they move one of DeMar DeRozan or Kyle Lowry too?

As the Kawhi Leonard trade rumblings continue to unfold, the Washington Post's Tim Bontemps surmises that the Toronto Raptors have "generated buzz" as a potential landing spot for the San Antonio Spurs' beleaguered star.

Before the Sixers and other interested teams give a "Godfather" offer to the Spurs, it is highly likely that they will first want to get an assurance that Leonard is already 100 percent recovered from the quad injury. Masai Ujiri and Bobby Webster have both said that the Raptors' goal is nothing short of a championship and Kawhi is the type of talent who can put that into play.

Despite their worsening relationship with Kawhi Leonard, the Spurs are still hoping that they can get valuable assets that could keep them competitive in the Western Conference.

Reports of Toronto as a possible trade partner with San Antonio began to surface earlier in the week. There's been some moving and shaking on the odds over the past day or so, as the Raptors jumped up to co-favorites (along with the Spurs at +200) to start next season with Leonard on their roster. All in all, it's not a bad deal and not a robbery by any means.

So with the league seemingly at an impasse as this saga drags on, here's a proposition for a four-team, blockbuster deal involving the Philadelphia 76ers.

If I'm betting on where Leonard lands in 2018-19, I would rank the Sixers, Lakers and staying with the Spurs as the top scenarios.
