Jason Bateman's hilarious advice for The Bachelorette's Becca and Garrett

It was all captured on camera in its hideously awkward glory, but there was one upside: Becca was named this season's bachelorette. He's super sweaty and putting off a major cocaine vibe, but he has no choice but to meet Becca's family at this point. And so it played out with Garrett and Blake. But the Instagram brouhaha also had the effect of essentially spoiling the season: The amount of immediate blowback from those involved with the show, including a full interview with Becca on the topic and a carefully worded apology from Garrett, suggested he was the season's victor. Sweat pouring down his face (apparently it gets hot in the Maldives), Blake launched into a lovely tribute to Becca as they stood together on a handsome perch overlooking the crystal clear water of the Indian Ocean. "I stand by everything that I posted in my apology, and I'm just trying to grow as a person be a better person on a daily basis", he continued. I know it wasn't in a checked bag and that's way too much real estate for a carry-on. But, is it Horstmann who gets picked by Kufrin at the end of her journey as the Bachelorette? Didn't we get enough of it last season, and then plenty more this season when Becca brought him up every episode? "This love feels like it just fits my soul, it just fits my heart". "And that's what he's done", she said.

Oh, so Garrett's done then? You'd have no way to know which people Yrigoyen likely offended (including immigrants, feminists, trans people, liberals, and anyone who feels it's unconscionable to lie about and attack the integrity of gun-violence victims). She lets him give his speech and when he asks her, "Will you let me spend the rest of my life making you smile?"

"The Instagram situation, I don't condone that", Becca said. "Having anxiety does not make someone a bad partner; It simply makes him or her human", she tells Yahoo Lifestyle.

As for Blake, we're not sure if he will recover in time to become the next Bachelor. One would think that, the day before a new guy asks for your daughter's hand in marriage, you wouldn't be anxious about some jackwagon you knew for about 10 minutes before he bailed.

Kufrin was first a contestant on "The Bachelor, " where she got engaged to Arie Luyendyk Jr. That's all that you can ask for in another person'. "I think it would just be a fun adventure to live somewhere else, and he has family in California so we would still be near them, but we still have to figure out where, what we're going to do, everything like that", Becca said. Again, I say: Ouch.

As for Becca, who said on ATFR that there was never "any question" that she would break up with Garrett, she told ET that she's still sticking by her man.

"I think Wills and John would have a dance-off probably, " said Yrigoyen, referring to Wills Reid and John Graham.

"Kufrin also used the hashtag "#imwithher", referring to then presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton, in a November 8, 2016 post on the social media platform.

The future: When the proposal finally came it nearly seemed like an afterthought given how long we had to wait to see it (although I understand why the producers wouldn't have made Blake sit and watch it).

Becca Kufrin and Garrett Yrigoyen have not yet announced when they plan to get married, but it's not likely that ex-wife Kayla Cunningham will get an invite.

"The conversation was brief and it was fine", Becca told Us Weekly on Tuesday.
