Aaron Rodgers: "I’m playing next week"

They came when everyone counted the Green Bay Packers and Aaron Rodgers out.

The former United Kingdom star, who tweeted out support for the Cats shortly after their streak-stopping victory at Florida on Saturday night, scored what proved to be the game-winning touchdown in the Green Bay Packers' 24-23 come-from-way-behind victory over the Chicago Bears on Sunday night at Lambeau Field in Wisconsin.

"Aaron Rodgers was remarkable". "I realized I probably should jog to let Dr. McKenzie know I could do that".

Before Rodgers got hurt, he was dancing around in and out of the pocket trying to extend the play while his receivers got open.

"This will definitely go down as one my favorite memories, especially in this rivalry", Rodgers said.

But after the break, the two teams switched roles and Rodgers did what only a player of his caliber can do. Now, he's exited the field of play entirely, getting carted off to the locker room for further evaluation.

"Honestly, everybody is already used to it coming from No. 12", Packers running back Jamaal Williams said. "But then it tightened up there in the fourth quarter".

Aaron Rodgers recently signed a contract with the Green Bay Packers that will see him earn more guaranteed money than any player in National Football League history, but he proved on Sunday night that he has not gotten complacent.

Garoppolo performed Houdini-like escapology before tossing the ball into the end zone for a scampering Pettis to just grab the ball with his finger tips and crucially get both feet in bounds.

But the Bears went three-and-out and gave it right back.

Chicago capitalized on some early opportunities against the Packers' defense, but the unpredictability began to wear on Trubisky, who threw for only 61 yards in the second half against a defense that consistently cycled Josh Jackson, Jaire Alexander and Jermaine Whitehead in the slot cornerback positions. He has thrown an interception returned for a 27-yard touchdown by Bears linebacker Khalil Mack. He was doing well, he's feeling good, making plays.

What went wrong: The team fell apart without Rodgers. Rodgers later returned to start the second half. There was DeShone Kizer, the backup quarterback.

The newest and most risky Bears' defender, Khalil Mack, had a field day with him. It cooled the Bears' pass rush, exhausted their defense and opened up opportunities for big plays. Up 20-17, Nagy called for a passing play on third down and a field goal on fourth.

So, once the final numbers are in, we may see the SNF opening of the 2018/2019 season down from both of the last two years, even though it has the best metered market result for any NBC Sunday game in nearly a year.

Traveling to Green Bay on the night the Packers celebrate their 100th anniversary is a tough challenge for any roster. The result was Rodgers operating nearly exclusively a no-huddle two-minute offense with plenty of quick throws.

After the game, Rodgers was asked about if he would play against their NFC North rivals.

The Chicago Bears' collapse in Week 1's devastating loss to the Green Bay Packers will sting for a while. Because QB1 only needs one fucking quarter to beat Mitchell Trubisky and the shitbag Chicago Bears.

Mack finished the game with three total tackles - two solo - the sack and fumble recovery.
