And Dolby Vision at a insane low price

The Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K with the all-new Alexa Voice Remote

The remote itself is $30/£30 and works with existing current-generation Fire TV devices.

Amazon is also offering a Fire TV Stick 4K and Echo Dot bundle for £79.99 - a £20 saving compared to buying the two Alexa-powered gadgets separately.

Amazon has confirmed to that the 2017 model of the Fire TV - also known as the Fire TV Gen. 3, or the Fire TV 4K, or the Fire TV pendant - has reached end-of-life status.

The new version is also 80 per cent more powerful than its predecessor thanks to a new 1.7Ghz quad-core processor - making it more powerful than many smartphones.

That last bit was a major selling point of the Fire TV Cube-although, since controlling that gear is still heavily reliant on using voice commands with Amazon's Alexa voice assistant, we found it a bit clunky at times.

Per usual, there's not much in the way of ports on the Fire TV Stick. While that device didn't support Dolby Vision, Amazon claims that its customers preferred the stick design. "The team invented an entirely new antenna technology and combined that with a powerful 802.11ac Wi-Fi to optimize for the best possible 4K UHD streaming experience, even in congested network environments", said Marc Whitten, Vice President, Amazon Fire TV. "And it obviously brings the 4K capability to streaming on a stick form factor", Parag Gupta, Head, Product and Marketing, Amazon India told India Today Tech.

Another big change with the updated Fire TV Stick is in the remote - it finally includes a power button and volume controls, which have always been a top request from many users. The remote combines Bluetooth with infrared to control both the Fire TV Stick as well as other home entertainment devices, including your TV and cable box. Japan is also getting the device this year, though the company provides no specific date. It will land in the United Kingdom on the 14th of November.
