Bush's daughter ties the knot in secret Kennebunkport ceremony

Former first daughter Barbara Bush married a 37-year-old screenwriter this weekend. It was just like her: "private (only family!) and full of love (and yes lots of tears!)".
Following the nuptials, Hager gave a touching toast to the newlyweds at a small reception, revealing that her speech ended with a love letter that grandfather wrote to her grandmother, the late former First Lady Barbara Bush.
In an Instagram post, the father of the bride said: "Barbara is named for a unique and strong woman - and rightly so, because she is unique and strong".
The 41st president was watching nearby, as was the mother of the bride, former First Lady Laura Bush and Barbara's twin sister and maid of honor, Jenna.
Dorothy Bush Koch, the bride's aunt, officiated the wedding.
Laura had a family-only wedding at the family's Kennebunkport, Maine, home, and was surrounded by her nearest and dearest including her parents and twin sister, Jenna Bush Hager. @laurawbush and I are so proud of our compassionate, daring, fierce, kind, intelligent, loving daughter.
The lower-profile of the Bush twins (sister Jenna Bush Hager is a co-host of the "Today" show) had started wedding rumors when reports surfaced that an invitation was out for friends for a "celebration" of the couple on Friday in NY, where they live.
Jenna Bush Hager's wedding, 10 years ago, was a Texas event. Coyne proposed at the same spot where George H.W. got engaged to Barbara.
"It's just been a very sweet romance".
The couple will live in New York City, according to the statement. "And we've been long-distance for most of it - he's been in LA and I've been in NY - but we've gotten to spend a lot of time together".
