OSU holds off Penn State

Ohio State at Penn State stream, keys, and White Out predictions

Haskins connected with Binjimen Victor, who weaved and slipped through tacklers for a 47-yard touchdown catch and run that cut it to 26-21 with 6:42 left.

Later in the second, with Penn State backed up near its end zone, McSorley hit Hamler on a slant pass. Hamler then sprinted through and past the Ohio State defense for a 93-yard touchdown, the second-longest in school history. An elite team makes big plays in the biggest moments. They have managed to play quite well despite the loss of defensive end Nick Bosa, who is out for at least another month with an abdominal injury.

McSorley and Penn State still had plenty of time left with 2:03 showing on the clock.

After the game, Penn State coach James Franklin got wind of that criticism when he walked past a group of fans at Beaver Stadium.

Penn State is off next week before hosting No. 21 Michigan State on October 13. Once again with a great chance to take control of the game, Penn State again couldn't muster anything more than a glancing blow.

Ohio State is off to a 4-0 start with largely dominant performances in all four games.

Ohio State survived one of the most hostile environments in the country and while the performance wasn't ideal, it was a flawless example of how a championship team responds to adversity. He showed no signs of being caught up in the moment and seemed like an upgrade from Big Ten career touchdown leader, J.T. Barrett, who he replaced this year as the starter.

And then just like that, everything changed, and for the second year in a row the Buckeyes swiped victory away from the Nittany Lions in another wild game between the Big Ten powerhouses. The Buckeyes finished with 10 penalties for 105 yard - and still won. Defensively, Ohio State is allowing just 17 points and 323.3 yards per game. He deserves it. In a losing effort, McSorley accounted for 461 of Penn State's 496 yards of offense. The quarterback hit Freiermuth for 27 yards on the first play to the Ohio State 48, and the Lions were in great shape as they got closer to field goal range.

Linebacker Koa Farmer then stopped Haskins for no gain on fourth-and-1 at the Penn State 48, giving the Lions the football. This, however, will be his first true road game as the starter, and it will be interesting to see how he handles the deafening noise of the Penn State "White Out" crowd. Haskins completed just 7-of-16 passes for 62 yards after beginning the game completing 76 percent of his passes.

Throughout the course of a 27-26 comeback win for Ohio State over Penn State, the Buckeyes had to overcome deficits of 13 and 12 points in the first and second halves.
