Triumph are calling the Tiger 1050 a ‘rare creature at home in the urban jungle or wide open prairies’…ok enough with the puns.
The engine gives out 115PS, there’s 17″ wheels and adjustable 43mm upside down forks. Seat heigh is a tall 835mm whilst panniers, handguards and ABS are available as standard on the SE edition.
The twin spar frame features a braced aluminium swingarm which, according to Triumph, wouldn’t be out of place on a sports bike.
Braking power comes from twin four-piston radial calipers gripping 320mm front brakes. Combined with the riding position and wide handlebars, the Tiger 1050’s chassis and engine combination should add up to a motorcycle that inspires confidence.
With a fuel capacity of 20 litres, the Tiger 1050 is capable of covering over 200 miles between fuel stops. The Tiger 1050 is available in two metallic colours, Phantom Black and Crystal White.
A higher-specification Tiger 1050SE is also available. It features ABS brakes as standard, along with panniers (giving a capacity of 43 litres), centre stand, gel seat and handguards. The Tiger 1050SE also comes in two distinctive colour schemes: Intense Orange and a two-tone Matt Graphite and Matt Black combination.
